Skin Needling

Skin needling is an advanced skin treatment that uses sterilised micro-needles to create micro channels in the skin. This causes the skin to have a wound healing response, stimulating the skin. The stimulation means an increase in the production of collagen & elastin, rejuvenating the skin. With the increase of collagen and elastin fine lines & wrinkles are reduced, improving the skins overall complexion & glow.

  • This treatment is for Skin Needling of the face only.

  • This treatment is for Skin Needling of the face + décolletage.

  • This treatment is not suitable for all skin types, clients are required to have a complimentary consultation prior to treatment to determine suitability. At your complimentary consultation, your therapist will create a tailored preparation plan based on your skin type.

WHAT TO EXPECT

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Brooke is fully qualified in performing skin needling treatments and obtained her certificate at the Adelaide Beauty Academy in 2019 and completed a refresher course in 2023.

Once your appointment is booked you will be sent a comprehensive consultation form via email that will need to be filled out prior to your appointment. The questions can feel a little intrusive, but it’s important that you are provide with a safe and suitable treatment.

Your appointment will begin with a skin consultation to discuss any skin concerns and answer any questions that you have about the treatment. Your treatment will start with a cleanse of the skin followed an antiseptic to prepare the skin for the skin needling.

Numbing cream is not recommended but can be applied prior to the treatment to allow for a more comfortable treatment. While the numbing cream is taking effect, I can perform a relaxing head massage and hair treatment using coconut oil.

During the skin needling treatment the forehead will most likely be the most sensitive for you, especially along the hair line.

Depending on the area of the face and decolletage will depend on the depth used for the needles. There are 4 passes performed over each area of the skin, covering the face and decolletage as well if required.

There is expected to be some erythema (redness) which should subside within 24 - 48 hours.

AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS

24 - 48 HOURS POST TREATMENT

Please wear a SPF-50 sunscreen when outside, to avoid the increased risk of developing pigmentation.

Please avoid shaving, waxing, IPL, laser or electrolysis in the treatment area.

Please avoid sun exposure and/or infrared light exposure.

No excessive sweating, saunas, baths or pools.

Please avoid cosmetic tattooing in the area for at least 2 weeks.
